TOWN OF VERMONT Plan Commission MEETING
SEPTEMBER 25, 2006 – 7:30 p.m. – 4017 County Hwy JJ
CALL TO ORDER AND POSTING CERTIFICATION
The meeting was called to order by Mark Sherven at 7:30 p.m. Johanna Solms certified that the meeting notice had been posted at the Black Earth State Bank, Amcore Bank in Mt. Horeb, on the front door of the Town Hall and on the town website,
www.townofvermont.com; also published in the News Sickle Arrow and the Mount Horeb Mail.Members present: Barbara Grenlie, Donald McKay, Mark Sherven, Jim Elleson, Bruce Ellarson, Eric Haugen, and Johanna Solms.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion was made by Donald McKay, seconded by Barbara Grenlie and carried to approve the meeting agenda.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion was made by Barbara Grenlie, seconded by Donald McKay and carried to approve the amended minutes of the August 28, 2006 meeting.
CONTINUATION OF WORK ON Policy and procedure manual
The notice regarding driveway permit expiration will be posted after Mark Sherven notifies the town board during committee reports. The notice will appear in both papers and in the Vermont Voice, and will be posted at the town hall and sent out with the tax bills. Donald McKay will keep future records of permit applications as part of his work on the driveway committee.
Permits have not been required in practice for Ag buildings even though the ordinance includes them. Policies and practices may need to be adjusted, to support erosion control.
There was further discussion of the home site and driveway permit application process and the flowchart was finalized.
There was a discussion of budgeting and planning for Land Property Register work.

Motion was made by Jim Elleson seconded by Bruce Ellarson and carried to adjourn the meeting at 10:30 p.m.
